  1. All of them! Different types of plants all have different nutrients that help your body run and stay healthy. Eating a varied diet that includes many whole grains, legumes, fruits, and vegetables ensures that you get everything your body needs. For instance, there are actually hundreds of types of fiber that make up the broad categories of soluble or insoluble fiber.  Is the fiber in pinto beans somehow "better" than in black beans or kidney beans? More likely it would be better to eat some of all three. If you are curious what each food brings to the table, I would recommend nutritionfacts.org.
