  1. A good cocktail to order that has a certain elegance is a Manhattan. Whiskey, vermouth, bitters and a cherry. It’s the late meeting or suitable on a business trip. It’s the dress suit. A business dinner or meeting is whiskey on the rocks with a splash of soda, or scotch neat. That’s the business suit, clean and straightforward, no nonsense. A vodka tonic or gin martini is a straight kind of business drink, kind of like a grey suit. Tequila isn’t quite the business drink, that’s the after work party, casual Friday dress.
