  1. Hi Jennifer,

I used MyFitnessPal on and off for maybe a decade before buckling down and making it a daily practice 211 days ago.  :)

I have it tied in with my Strava (exercise tracking) and have been dilligent about entering every calorie consumed, every day.  I've lost ~30 pounds since I started, and I'd give MFP credit for ~20 of those - I'm much more cognizant of portion control and keeping my calorie budget in my mind today than I was before I started.

My personal problems tend to revolve around sticking with the program - in the past, I've let up when my push to lose weight was achieved, and lo, the weight comes back.  This time my plan is to try to transition gracefully from consuming the calories to support my exercise to consuming enough calories to not ballon back up.  The tool is only as good as the information it gets, but for my $$, MFP does the job - I give it honest information, it gives me an honest picture of what I should be expecting, weight gain/loss-wise.

    Good luck!
