Post workout meals that don't forgo flavor!

I've been getting in to whey protein powder for maximum gains after working out, but I really can not stand the flavor and texture of shakes! I'm over them! What are some good post workout recipes that aren't just dust and water, but still give you loads of protein to bulk up the muscles after the gym?

  1. As someone who works out, I totally get the feeling of wanting a post workout meal without having to just stick to protein powder (which is good, but gets old). I'm all about consuming things that are good inside out, body, skin, hair etc.  So I look for foods with antioxidants and vitamins. I workout in the morning and a few of my go-tos I swear I feel that work the best:

    Protein pancakes with blueberries.

The blueberries are best for the post workout as it reduces inflammation and helps with muscle recovery.  Due to the fact it provides healthy energy due to the complex carbs and water, you're not having your workout go to waste.

    Fruit smoothies with yogurt.

In order to make it worth it, you need to mix those healthy carbs and proteins in there.  Helping the texture and keeping you full, a 1/2 cup of greek yogurt does the trick.
