Am I allergic to red wine?
I have noticed that when I drink red wine (usually 2-3 glasses), I get extremely congested a few hours later. My head gets "stuffed up" as though I have a cold. Is it my imagination, or could these be related?

It is not your imagination! Red wine often contains high amounts of phthalates which can trigger migraines and sinus pressure. What you are experiencing is likely not an allergy but a reaction to those phthalate levels. While white wine can also contain phthalates, generally it is much less.
I cannot drink red wine because I have a migraine condition. If your symptoms are mild, you may still be able to enjoy red wine. It's up to you if the wine is good enough to warrant a stuffy nose.
