As a skincare specialist I can tell you that just because of acne prone skin, it doesn't mean you can't enjoy creating a DIY concotion for better skin.  I love recommending mixing  1 tbsp honey (antibacterial & also holds in moisture) as well as 1/2 tsp Turmeric (anti-inflammatory & brightens skin), apply and leave on for about 10 to 15 minutes but always listen to your skin and any sensitivies.

  2. No wild concoction suggestions but I would strongly suggest that you use filtered water when you cleanse your face. I've seen it happen with family, that the disinfectants used in water can cause skin irritation. You can use a Brita filter, and just keep a plastic bottle filled at your kitchen sink and in the shower - use that filtered water for a rinse on your facial skin and hand, your skin and hair after a shower.
