Are all morel mushrooms toxic when eaten raw?
I don't know much about mushroom preparation but I really like them. I want to learn more to make sure I don't eat anything toxic, so are all morel mushrooms toxic when eaten raw?

Ye-es-- for a given value of "toxic".
Most mushrooms shouldn't be eaten raw; like eating fistfuls of raw grass, raw mushrooms aren't something human intestines deal with well. "Gastric upset", it's called, and it can range from an unpleasant full, gassy feeling, to surprised-not-to-see-your-toes-coming-out-vomiting and groaning bouts of diarrhea.
Always cook any mushroom, even those nicely sliced, bland white ones at salad bars should be cooked. And know that, while any one type of mushroom may effect you and not your friend, any other type of mushroom may effect your friend, and not you.
Mushrooms are weird that way.
