While there is a lot of marketing hype out there for beard oils that promote beard growth, there is no scientific evidence at all that any of them actually make the beard grow any differently than it would otherwise. It's oil not magic. So don't fall for the hype from beard oil companies. They're selling snake oil as beard oil. Some of them may make your beard seem fuller just by keeping it moisturized and kempt, but it doesn't actually cause growth.

However, beard oil can be useful for moisturizing your beard by saturating the facial hair and the skin underneath it, and for preventing beard dandruff. Your skin can be less irritated and in better condition, and the hair itself more manageable.
