What are the tax home requirements for travel nurses?
My partner is a travel nurse and we currently have our permanent address and tax home at our parent's house, where we rent a room when we are between assignments or need to go back to our home city. We are preparing for the upcoming tax year and wanted to make sure we are doing everything correctly to receive the travel nursing housing stipend. If we are audited we want to make sure we can cover our bases and prove that we are doing what's required by law to be able to continue receiving the stipend.
