In my area, it's legal and popular to fish in ditches, streams, ponds, and other small waterways. Are there different things to take into account when fishing in these small bodies of water as opposed to larger waterways like major rivers, lakes, or oceans? There are a lot of farmlands in the area; is there a possibility of fertilizer runoff harming the quality of the fish for eating?
