Will buying stamps do anything meaningful to help save USPS?

I literally hear some people saying that USPS isn't an essential service since companies like FedEx do the job more efficiently according to them. I respectfuly disagree with the claim that USPS isn't an essential business, and I was thinking that buying stamps is the least I can do to help save USPS.

    I agree wholly that USPS is absolutely essential and I am horrified and angry that it is in jeopardy. They say buying stamps will help. I bought a bunch of "Forever" stamps earlier in the year. Unless USPS goes belly up entirely, it is a fairly safe investment. I also bought 200 postcard stamps, as I am writing postcards to help GOTV.
