What should a teen do when a friend starts telling her her anxious thoughts and feelings?
One of my daughter's friends has started telling her all kinds of anxious thoughts -- from her current state of anxiety, to suicidal thoughts a few years ago, to concerns that her father might be unaccepting of people who are gay -- and while I told her teacher that these things were coming up, she keeps opening up to my daughter, who is feeling out of her league. What can I tell her to say to give herself the boundaries she needs while giving her friend the counsel she is clearly seeking?
