A privateer and a pirate walk in to a bar.... what happens?! I would have to think that a pirate would have an issue with a privateer, who basically had the go ahead from the government to do everything a pirate is doing. While pirates were being hunted down and always cast off as the bad guys, privateering was generally revered as a respectable gig. Are there any books or movies out there that cover pirate/privateer encounters?
