Need advice for dog training.

I recently adopted a puppy, he now is about 12 weeks old. He does listen pretty well for a puppy but there are things I want to work on. 1. He bites, and i don't want him to bite at all. 2. He doesn't always respond when i call him in from outsode or being outside in genreal he won't respond to any command, like sit.

At 12 weeks your dog is pretty undeveloped. There is only limited training you can do but creation of trust and establishing that you are the boss and he is your assistant can start now. Another very important thing to teach him is that you two are going to learn to play a version of Simon Says. You will say a word or make a gesture and he will figure out what he's supposed to do and you will confirm he got it by giving him a treat. The treat is unambiguoous confirmation that he got the cue, and the taste of a treat will boost the neural growth that will happen as a result of this give and take. Some dogs don't immediately get that this is a game and that he will always win (you will make sure of that). If he seems susppicious or shy, don't quit. Get a tastier treat and keep playing.

The biting is normal puppy mouthing. He has no hands so he will use his mouth for contact and playing. That said, if he bit too hard, his siblings and his mother would scream loud enough to scare him and stop interacting with him. So don't let him chew on you, but find a toy the two of you can play tug with or tease each other with.

At 12 weeks he could learn to sit. Check You Tube for various techniques that aren't pusing his butt down. Maybe he can learn Down too.
