Considering cutting the cable; which streaming services most cost effect?
He likes military, History Ch, Smithsonian, NCIS, war movies. I like- meh- some movies like King's Speech, NatGeo, MASH, BBC, stuff on Sundance. We are considering getting rid of DirecTV (too much money for far more than we like, but only way to get what we like is that huge package!) and going to streaming service. We have a newer television, 4K UHD, so it is capable of many exciting things we know not the where of-- and likely will also never use. Other than laptops, and tablets we deliberately keep slimmed down as far as apps right now, we have Note9s which we are also less than enthusiastic about cramming with apps. We would watch television on the television; we might watch streaming sportsball games on a laptop or tablet as part of a channel's streaming service, but as likely not.
What do all you sh*t-hot techie people think would work for us? SlingBlue is... fair; Philo looks decent; do not know about a Firestick but we are, of course, Prime. Peacock looks intriguing, too.
Oh, yeah, and we DESPISE lag and buffering- we've already discussed that with our internet provider.
Please reply in old-people speak ;)
