My sons use AirBNB often, and what they like are rentals that allow pets, and make it easy to bring said pet along- fenced pet areas outside is a big draw for them.  They also look for places which have privacy; they do not want to intrude on their hosts, and so will only book in facilities which offer small apartments away from the owners' home, or with a separate entrance.

They like free wifi, too, and a universal charging station.  Since they travel on business, they need internet access, and so seek these in their lodgings.  They like off-street parking, and are attracted to offerings which are near the activities they enjoy- good restaurants and local attractions.

The place having laundry facilities is a winner, along with enough closet space if they've got the time to not live out of a suitcase.  One place in Bisbee offered not only a small kitchen with a full complement of dishes and cookware, they also had four wineglasses and a bottle of local wine- and did not forget the corkscrew! This particular offering also had a nicely printed up listing of various local attractions, hours and directions, just in case there was free time.

Might want to consider a few cleaning supplies, also. Items like paper towels, window cleaner and antibacterial wipes are a winner- especially now.  Also, think of your outdoor space- can you manage a barbeque spot? What about an umbrella near the door?  A selection of books and board games or puzzles never comes amiss, and, of course, a coffee maker with selection of coffees and creamers will be sure to please.

Think of what you might like, and chances are, so will any guests.

  2. I've personally always found that the small touches make all the difference. My family rents a lot of AirBnB's, or at least we did pre-covid. The ones that were our favorites always had little things like fresh toiletries, gifts for the kids, a bottle of wine, etc. Anything you can do to stand out and create a personal memory is a good thing.

People remember their unique experiences. They don't remember the kitchen or the bed.
