Is it common for a tenant to be responsible for damage done to a home by a contractor?
I am currently in a bit of a dispute and want to know how this situation is commonly handled.

Did the landlord hire the contractor? If your answer is YES than Both the landlord and the contractor can be responsible for the damage done to the home.
