A friend and I were attending a parade with our elementary-aged children and the debate took place of where the best place to sit on a parade route is. The argument was based on where we felt kids would receive the most candy (beginning because they have a lot or end because they are trying to get rid of everything they have left), where performers would be most entertaining (beginning lots of energy, middle warmed up and ready to go, or the end), and ease of getting the heck out of there when things wrapped up.
