Why would I pay $75 to stream the Stanley Cup Playoffs when they are streamed / on TV for free? NHL Live
On Monday the Tampa Bay Lightning face the Montreal Canadiens in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and I'm psyched to watch the games. I figured I'd be willing to pay a couple of bucks to be able to watch on my laptop if I'm not near a TV, but $75 seems really high? I haven't ever watched on NHL live, though, so I wonder if they have bonus features or commentary or content that I wouldn't get normally?
Looking at https://nhllive.com/en/features it seems like the main benefit is being able to watch games that are blacked out locally, and stream to most any device. They advertise "on demand replays" but those are really next day or 48 hours later, and youtube has those up within about an hour most of the time.
Basically wondering if I'm missing something obvious? I guess if there was no TV and I couldn't for some reason stream the national TV feed, this might be worth $75?
