This is really a question that should be asked directly of a medical professional, a pharmacist or physician. Abilify is for the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and also major depressive disorder in conjunction with another medication being taken.  If the symptoms are causing hypomanic reaction, then that's producing an unwelcome side effect.

According to the website NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, some common side effects are:

    • Headache, extrapyramidal symptoms, drowsiness, restlessness, fatigue, sedation, agitation, insomnia, anxiety, weight gain, cholesterol abnormalities, increased glucose, nausea, vomiting, constipation, application site rash (MyCite), tremor

Italicized side effects extrapyramidal symptoms includes motor restlessness, along with restlessness, agitation and anxiety. I'm not a medical professional so can't speak specifically to the side effects, but that sounds to fit with the effects being experienced.

It's very important to discuss these effects with your medical practitioner, the dosage may need to be adjusted or perhaps evaluate for another medication. Do not rely solely on information obtained online, it's critical to be propertly evaluated to determine the best course of action.
