I am looking to purchase a new gaming rig and was hoping to get advice for the best companies making these today. I know I can build my own, but I'm also looking for the easy button while maintaining quality.

What is your price range? I'd love to answer your question based on the range of cost as the computer company can vary based on that.
HP Omen PCs are usually top-notch and have many configurable options.
Alienware PCs and laptops are built and highly optimized for gaming. However, they are also steeply priced.
These days, most manufacturers have a few models which they term as "gaming PC/laptop". I'd recommend picking up one of these models from your favorite manufacturer, e.g. Dell, HP or anyone else.
It is often a good idea to first know the recommended requirements for running the game(s) that you intend to play. Matching those will be the most important decision, instead of picking a specific brand.
