How to write a disclaimer in an essay?

I have an essay to do and in one section, my instructor said that it could be preceded with a disclaimer that this section will take a more ‘traditional’, deficits-based approach.

I do not have any idea about the disclaimer and how to write it. Would you help me with this nd explain it to me?

    Sabreen,

There are a lot of ways to approach this, but I'd recommend something fairly short and to the point. You're probably looking at writing either a "no guarantee" or "views expressed are my own" disclaimer, depending on your message.

Something like this might work for the Views Expressed option:

All the information published on this website, or in any article herein is true and accurate to the best of the authors' knowledge. Information on this site should not be a substitute for legal advice. No liability is assumed by NZ LAW Limited, or individual NZ LAW member firms for losses suffered by any person or organization relying directly or indirectly on information published on this site. Views expressed in any article are the views of the authors individually and do not necessarily reflect the view of NZ LAW or their member firms.

Wikipedia also has a good No Guarantee style disclaimer here:

Term.ly  has a lot of good examples of how to do this and what the different types are. You could read through those and have a more comprehensive idea as well.

    Hope that helps!

    Ryan
