Virtual Mental Health

Curious, has anyone engaged in virtual counseling during COVID? In past years, there were a lot of barriers to virtual support (HIPPA, etc), but fortunately this was relaxed in 2020. What worked for you, what didn't, and would you opt for virtual sessions post-COVID?

I have been doing virtual therapy since the beginning of the pandemic. I started with my therapist before covid, so I had about six months of in person sessions with her before we moved to virtual. Personally, I actually prefer virtual therapy as opposed to in person. I feel more relaxed when I'm in my own home, and I can sit on my couch or lay in bed during the session, which makes it easier for me. There's also no stress of traveling/needing to be on time/etc. The only downside for me is that it's harder to share materials, like a workbook I have--I can't just hand her the book to show her something. But overall I like it better. I don't know how this would differ if I hadn't gotten to know her in person first, however.
