What’s the furthest south can it snow?

We live in North Florida. We normally travel north to see my wife's family but this year we aren't. I'd still like for us to see snow though.

Is there anywhere that it snows that's less than a day's drive away?

  1. I've seen snow a few times in Central Florida, and at least once it blanketed the yard for a few hours.  But with anthropic global climate change you might have to wait a LONG time to see it again.  North Carolina is about a day's drive from North Florida, and it snows there often... at least it used to.  You could just watch the Weather Channel and see when it snows somewhere closer; that way you can drive up, see the snow, and drive back home without having to brave COVID-19 vectors overnight.  But... are Floridians allowed out of the state?  I'm just sayin'.
