What's the best way to view Saturn and Jupiter conjunction?

On December 21st, Saturn and Jupiter will appear to combine into one planet and form what is colloquially known as a "Chistmas star." They haven't appeared so close in alignment in 800 years! I can't wait to see it! What's the best way to view this amazing event?
