Home Remedy for Tooth Pain?

My wisdom teeth are pushing through and it's killing me. I can't seem to get any relief and can't afford to remove them at the moment. Is there anything I can do to feel better?

I used to work at an oral surgery surgery office, and our recommendations were warm salt water rinses several times a day and ibuprofen. You can also try a numbing gel like orajel, but they don't work for everyone. At our office, we offered financing options with 0% interest for a year - that might be something to ask your local oral surgeon about if you are really in that much pain!

  2. It's a really old home remedy but it works well as a numbing agent - whiskey or brandy rubbed on the tooth and gums will help dull the pain. I know, did it for babies teething as well. But it does work, does numb the pain.

And you can even find it recommended on some health websites - see #4 Liquor - https://www.healthline.com/health/wisdom-teeth-pain-relief#:~:text=Bourbon%2C%20brandy%2C%20and%20whiskey%20are,pain%20receptors%2C%20easing%20your%20discomfort.
