I heard that whe the lake was formed, a Maidu village was displaced but I haven't been able to find exactly what happened to it and the people who lived there. Were they just forced out of their homes and the flood destroyed the vilage? Were they given new places to live? Was the village torn down before the flooding? If not, would it have been completely destroyed by the flood or does part of it still stand at the bottom of Lake Almanor? If anyone can ched some light on what these people went though, I would be very grateful.
