Will wearing masks be normalized after covid?

When covid-19 is a thing of the past, we will still have cold and flu. I'd prefer not to get sick if I can avoid it, and masks help. Many parts of the world embrace masks during cold and flu season for this reason. Do you think the US will follow suit?
