When did Star Wars Day, May 4, start being celebrated? And while we're at it, what's the best order to watch the shows and movies in the Star Wars universe?
I really enjoy the Star Wars films and shows, Is there a definitive order for all of it?

You may be really surprised to know that the first May the 4th be with you was in honor of Margaret Thatcher becoming Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. May 4th, 1979. After she won, her party took out an ad congratulation her, with the message "May the Fourth Be With You."
It's been unoffically celebrated since then, but became much more popular after a Facebook group started, celebrating Luke Skywalker Day, using the phrase. And the first Star Wars Day was in Canada in 2011, and in May 2019, California voted the day into officialdom as "Star Wars Day."
So, it's been quite unofficial since the early days during the era of the first Star Wars, and grew in popularity over time, unofficially of course until the 2000s. But it was Britain that started it, and Canada who first made it official, with the first organized Star Wars Day.
