What's the best way to identify the unknown species of a house plant?
I acquired a nice house plant from someone a few months ago, and I have no clue what it is. I also have no idea how to even start figuring it out. It's big and green, which makes it hard to describe in a google search! Any ideas or apps that would help me figure this out?

Take a pic and upload it to this website, and the software will identify it for you. It's amazingly easy and darned accurate, too.
I have also found the email address for my local County Extension Office and sent them a pic- they have a Master Gardener's section that is very useful.
