I am potentially adoping a young male cat (she thinks he is almost a year old) from a neighbor who is currently fostering him. My last cat died 15 years ago, and I am trying to think what he will need, beyond food, water, litterbox and carrier. I am thinking toys, scratching post, catnip and maybe a bed or cat tree? What am I missing? Also, for the first time in at least a year, my dog just scratched my arm bad with her dew claw. Guess she is reminding me.
