The front door of a home can be an attention-getting feature on the home’s exterior, beckoning potential buyers inside. Color psychologists suggest that the color of the front door can make a powerful statement about the home or the owner
• Blue: Conveys a place of refuge or retreat
• Green: Projects health, tranquility, and harmony
• Black: Projects strength, power, and authority
• Red: Conveys passion, energy, and excitement
• Brown: Offers a natural look that can convey warmth, stability, and reliability
I'm a Realtor in Northern Virginia and have often wondered this myself! Red does stand out from the street! I've also noticed that in many neighborhoods, people are expanding the. front door paint horizons! I'm seeing purple, orange, yellow and nice teal blues! I'm loving the colors that convey a bit more personality. Of course, many HOAs don't allow this, so better check with them first!
By the way, if your market is anything like it is here, you could paint it with prison stripes and it will sell! Best wishes!
